OK so you have guessed I just finished the 1168 km drive home in the car over 2 days. Why would anyone drive 2400 km for a trade fair?
So the debriefing:
- much more "dense" than last year with a little less fantasy maybe?
- this year I felt much less alone, it was great seeing you all again
- I finally tried riding a recumbent with not enough wheels. Result at the first corner: a bruised bum and a very bruised ego so I will stick to 3 or 4 wheels from now on. The test track is not a place to learn, too much going on around to relax enough
- the velocar is
en marche! When you do the count - Pedilio, Quadbike, Frikkar, Velothing by Katanga (did you guess I don't like the name?), Akkurad, ... Looks like a movement to me, things you can drive every day carrying big stuff. There is even a sports car model now, Bülk(for us) + trailer.
- the most beautiful VM in the world was there again and I still couldn't sit in it. OK the reasons are understandable
- Búlk with tank I sat in and the controls are perfectly positioned
- I didn't crash the Sunrider 3 on the 2 stupid bumps on the test track but I did get it on 2 wheels
Lucky it was speed limited
@JKL!
I promised to a lot of people that next year I will be back in a vélomobile so you have a whole year to do whatever you do to make the weather better for camping along the route. Like last year would be fine. 3º C in the tent in the morning at my age, seriously?
