Driving is not worrying me, finding food and camp sites is my problem for the moment. I will start looking at Warmshowers next.

It doesn't go through Bordeaux, that is fine by me! Day 2 I am working on, after that I am OK up until Montbéliard which is kind of an industrial wasteland as far as I can see. I may add a day to the outward journey and leave on the 17th :unsure: Some of the route I know quite well from driving it in the car already several times.

Going to @Gear7Lover's is very tempting but there is a climb to altitudes I am not comfortable with for camping at the end of April. The climb itself is nothing extraordinary with the Bafang and the Swiss part is very tempting.

Lots of route planning ahead in the next couple of weeks!

Das ginge schon. Luftlinie zu fahren ist aber mit dem VM immer etwas schwierig. Man kommt nie heil an. :eek:
Wenn Du im Brouter mit VM schnell die Strecke zwischen Coburg und Lauchringen anzeigen lässt, hast Du fast genau meine Route. Mit welchem Fahrzeug möchtest Du denn fahren?
Ich fahre östlich von Nördlingen vorbei. Aber das ist noch nicht final. Es ist ja auch noch Zeit. Wenn ich bei Dir vorbeifahre, komme ich zu sehr in den Stuttgarter Raum. Das möchte ich eigentlich nicht.

Ab Ulm würde es auch eine Fahrgemeinschaft geben ;)
Ich fahre von Augsburg aus über Ulm zur Spezi.

Das denke ich mir, wer möchte das schon o_O. Das mit der Haustür war daher auch nicht so ganz ernst gemeint.
Wenn's terminlich klappt fahre ich mit dem DF. Die Strecke habe ich mir noch nicht genauer angesehen, aber eigentlich bleibt für den ersten Teil nur das Kochertal Richtung Aalen. Danach ist es für mich im Augenblick noch Niemandsland.
 
Kochertal ist auch eine sehr gute Alternative für mich. Das wäre ok. Ich muss sehen, wo ich hinwärts übernachte. Man könnte sich dann Freitag Vormittag irgendwo treffen. Als Zweitagestour ist es easy.
Stichwort Ulm...ein Treffen zwecks gemeinsamer Fahrt wäre hier auch möglich. Wir müssen aber sehen, dass das von den Zeiten alles hinhaut. Um so mehr Leute, um so mehr Verzögerungen....

Das ist klar dass man dann nicht so schnell fährt wie mit wenigen oder alleine aber wenn es gut geplant und getimed ist könnte es lustig werden im Corso dorthin zu tingeln. :D
Wenn wir 20 werden sollten gelten sogar die Regeln für einen Convoi :cool: :ROFLMAO:
 
Von der Zeig her wäre es locker drin. Aber für einen Zeitplan isf es m.M nach verfrüht. Ich muss erstmal meine finale Strecke finden. @Joggl kommt vielleicht unterwegs auch noch dazu ...
 
So I have a 9 day driving itinerary plotted. The route was calculated in BRouter then the stages were transferred to Google Maps which has a lot more camping and restaurant information. 1185.6 km, the longest day 161 km (flattest day), shortest day 66 km, average 131.7 km. At 25 km/h average speed that is 5 ans 1/2 hours per day. With the pedelec support my average speed fully loaded is more like 26-27 km/h so the driving period will most probably be shorter. This is a lot more realistic and relaxed compared to September's 150 km/day experiment.

2 rest days so an 11-12 day voyage. I may leave on the 17th or the 18th of April for arrival on Friday 28th.

While finding campsites and getting reviews from Google only one campsite got a "worst campsite in the EU, dirty bathroom block" note so I rerouted. There are 2 days with lots of up and down, most days have less vertical metres than the 57 km drive to the Spanish supermarket and back ;)

Now to-do:

- training (of course)
- do I have a budget? (mystery...)
- optimise Agilo a little more (drive train)
- reduce camping gear and equipment weight (see point 2...)

At least I have a project to keep me busy over the winter! Oh, winter, today 20º C and brilliant sunshine, get out on the trike lazy boy! :giggle:
 
Yes but I have an invitation, I don't think I will starve after the 130 km drive to the end of Lake Constance on the Monday :giggle: Just a a shower and a pizza will be fine. Pizza places are open on the 1st of May?

The budget problem is solved. Even if I am not fit to drive all the way to Spezi in Agilo I will be coming - 2 days drive in her car or maybe I will find a van and bring Agilo with us too :unsure:

I have 3 nights booked in a camping ground (y)

So what can go wrong now? I was going to make a very bad joke about Voldemort Putain but maybe we best stay away from that subject... :rolleyes:
 
Schick wären vermutlich Tourenvorschläge für alle, die schon vorher was von der Gegend mitbekommen wollen. VM geeignete ...
