Hier fotos von meiner Roadshark mit mein neuer eigenbauverkeidung aus alu, strips und coroplast.
Materialen kostet ~500 euro oder so. Funktioniert gut und wiegt ~30 kg. Wesentlich leichter als mein alter Flevo AW.

Nicht schlecht. Schickes Teil. Auf den ersten Eindruck erst gewöhnungsbedürftig. Auf den 2. ein richtig gut gewordenes Projekt. Meinen herzlichsten Glückwunsch. Ich freue mich auf weitere Bilder.

Dieser ist mein erster versuch mit coroplast aber nicht der letzte.
Ich brauch nur ein besseres methode als zips. Zips sind einfach
aber sieht nicht so gut aus mit tape. Vieleicht versuche ich zahndraht (? dental floss)
wie dieser kerl hat getan:

Ich kann aber nicht coro über 50x70 cm finden hier ins Dänemark.

Ich würde Takelgarn aus der Segelmacherei empfehlen.

(Takelgarn naut. whipping twine)

Das gibt es von etwa 0,25 mm bis 2,00 mm und auch gewachst. Am besten gleich die passende Nadel mit besorgen. :)

Oder Wachsband zum Binden von Kabelbäumen. Weiß ich aber im Moment nicht, wo es zu bekommen wäre. Macht ja fast keiner mehr, ist eine Heidenarbeit. Ich finde es sieht aber viel sauberer aus, als Kabelbinder. (Das Zeug schneidet nur ziemlich in die Finger!)

Ich konstruiere ein fairing für mein VK2. Weiss nicht ob das ein "velomobil" ist aber hier sind einige fotos von die aluskelett:

Yep, I know. Saw them on BROL. Twowheeler is really nice.
Got any pics of its innards and mounts? I'm 6 foot 3 alas
so no chance of making one as small as yours.

And I can only source coroplast in pieces of 50x70 cm here in Denmark.
So alu it was. The velo is around 30-32 kg which is fine. I have a new
method for zipping coro on that doesn't make those nasty ridges at the seams.
And it uses far less zips. Will use that for the streamliner.

What thickness is that? Looks a bit heftier than my 3 mm.
Do you glue the seams, and how did you come up with the shapes
of the individual panels?

Not much space to steer in mine now. Luckily we're holding
the 200 meter sprint first. Might cut some holes in the side of the lid
and lose the bombbaydoors for the roadrace since its held on
public roads.

coroplast is 4mm thick
Seams glued using a 500w hot melt gun
I made up the shape as I went along.

This is one beautiful coroplast fairing. Pity this stuff is so hard to come by in Germany. BTW: Might it be you know the De Havilland DH.88 Comet?DeHavilland DH.88 I DO sense some similarities... ;)
