I think I posted a photo last September? I can't find it but here is this years photo. Above is the "everything" photo - missing are the battery charger (-1 kg compared to last year), a spare Gocycle tyre and 2 x AV7 tubes. The tool bag is the same as last year.
Less weigh, more stuff - I have a full kitchen in one of the brown bags.
New stuff:
Jetboil Minimo burner, tested and approved on the terrasse. A little on the heavy side at 400 grams but 1 litre pot and infinite burner setting from simmer to boil. I cook real food not stuff from a packet.
I added a small 300 gram frying pan I found at a local supermarket - to cook the chicken and egg for oyako-don
Lots of little bottles for soy, cooking sake etc.
Milet 0º C down sleeping bag, about 250 grams heavier than the 15º C summer synthetic bag.
Expeda mummy LW R3 mattress 455 grams, a +1 kg savings and very small when packed.
I have a 200 gram folding stool, an old persons thing, the ground seems much further down when you have to sit on it at my age.
Same heavy tent as last time because of budget limitations. I thought about selling it (Decathlon do that) and buying the 1 person version but the extra space when travelling for 3 weeks won in the end. 1kg more for extra comfort seems a worth while sacrifice.
The driver is >4 kg lighter than last year!
I am also carrying more clothes because the east of France and southern Germany in April is not the same climate as the west coast in September
The Decathlon cycling jacket above is waterproof and very warm and I have real walking shoes in the green bag. Will I bring an umbrella - guaranteed not to rain if I carry that across France!
The tent goes in the front opposite the tools and all the other bags go in the rear compartments, Jacket and clothes bag in the top.
