Music: Negativland 2019 - Extension/Video: Dina Kelberman 2020

Hello, world! Ever stared at your favorite news website and wondered how to even begin reverse engineering your way back to the reality in the stories under those headlines? If you're running out of that kind of strength, then your old jammer friends in Negativland have a new browser extension -- and even a new album of music -- to help you begin taking the first genuine vacation of your entire life.

THE WORLD WILL DECIDE is the soon to be released sequel album that concludes Negativland's interconnected two part opus that began with TRUE FALSE in 2019. And what better way to promote it than with a downloadable work of media art that seizes your Chrome browser and turns any website you've trained it upon into a real time visual for our track, 'DISCERNMENT'?

Created in collaboration with digital artist Dina Kelberman ("I'm Google"), 'DISCERNMENT.CRX' can be viewed in action in a screen capture here. But the real fun begins when you load up your favorite trusted news source and watch recognizable fragments of today's news cycle mulched into something just as meaningful as the ads placed beside each of the facts. Download the extension yourself and play it anywhere - MSNBC, Breitbart, Al Jazeera, South China Morning Post, Fox News, Facebook, Wikipedia, New York Times, The Guardian, Craigslist, Washington Post… try them all.

Looking back before looking ahead, and in anticipation of the soon to be revealed THE WORLD WILL DECIDE, this free Chrome extension of the TRUE FALSE track 'DISCERNMENT" can be downloaded from the Chrome Extension Store at this very moment.

We shape our tools, then our tools shape us, and then the work to discern the difference between ourselves and our tools becomes the real job. Happily traipsing through decades worth of the technology we've all decided to call AI, here's more than a few double negatives to enjoy as we dance on the thin line between immortality and its opposite.

'Don't Don't Get Freaked Out' is a song from Negativland's new album 'The World Will Decide', the mirror image companion to last year's 'True False'. Coming this November 13th, 2020, 'The World Will Decide' is available for pre-order now at Seeland Records.

Soweit meine schönen Erinnerungen an "A whiter shade of pale"...

Hier noch eine andere Version von 1968

@Cars10  .... vielen vielen Dank! Ein epochales Kunstwerk !!! Für mich ein Meilenstein! Genial! Es ist in Worten nicht auszudrücken ... :notworthy:

A: Doomed ist wieder online.
