ROAM poster orders now being taken. All proceeds will go towards the ROAM velomobile tour. The ROAM tour is a group of velomobile riders from Europe and North America. The group is departing Portland, Oregon on July 28th, 2011 and is scheduled to arrive in Washington DC on August 26th, 2011

The classic tour across the United States, a great adventure, a challenge to will and strength – this summer of 2011 we will make it happen.

Never have so many velomobiles come together in North America; never has such a group crossed the continent. More than 50 riders have signed up from Europe, the United States and Canada. The route has been worked out, training has begun and operational planning is in full swing.

Pricing:

18"x24" $12.00 USD
24"x36" $24.00 USD

Shipping is a flat $10.00 USD per order, if desired, for the U.S.. Additional shipping charges may apply to Canada or Europe. I know in a few days what it cost to ship to the Netherlands. A poster is being sent to Sinner Bike for the shop.

At this time, I'm only asking for a commitment to purchase. Two poster printing orders are scheduled. The first being in the middle of June and the second being in the middle of July. Once ordered, the posters take about one and a half weeks to be printed and delivered to me. If there is a need, I may place additional orders at a later date if Josef agrees. Payment will be accepted via PayPal, check or money order. At minimum I need your name, and email address so that I may contact you. If you contact me via email please include your BROL or velomobilforum.de username if you have one. ROAM event Posters werden in zwei Größen verfügbar sein 18"x24" and 24"x36" (45,72cm x 60,96 cm) und (60,96cm x 91,44cm)

Kosten:

18"x24"(45,72cm x 60,96 cm) $12.00 USD

24"x36" (60,96cm x 91,44cm) $24.00 USD

Kosten für den Versandt sind $10.00 USD bei jeder Bestellung (innerhalb der USA) es können Zusatzkosten auftreten für den versandt nach Canada oder Europa. In ein paar tagen weiß er mehr über die Kosten in die Niederlande, ein Poster geht zu Sinner Bike für den laden.

Zur Zeit möchte Bill nur eine Verbindliche Zusage von denen die Poster kaufen wollen. Es wird zwei Termine für den Druck geben einer Mitte Juni und einer Mitte Juli. Nach Bestelleingang brauchen die Poster eineinhalb Wochen für den Druck und den Versandt an Bill. Sollte das nötig sein, werden auch noch später weitere Drucke gemacht, sofern Jupp zustimmt.

Bezahlung mittels PayPal, Scheck oder "money order" (keine Ahnung was das bedeutet.. vermutlich Überweisung..). Solltet ihr Interesse an Postern haben, bitte sprecht Bill direkt an via PM oder email (billbates (at) gmail (dot)comdamit er euch in die Bestellliste aufnehmen kann. Dafür benötigt er mindestens Name, und email Adresse um mit euch in Verbindung zu treten. Solltet ihr ihm schreiben bitte gebt auch euren BROL oder velomobilforum.de username an (sofern ihr einen habt) er kennt viele hier eher unter den Nicks als ihren richtigen Namen

Gäbe es denn eine Möglichkeit für Sammelbestellungen, um die Versandkosten nach Europa zu reduzieren? Ich finde die Poster genial schön, würde aber lieber ein Poster mehr ordern, als das Geld hauptsächlich für den Versand abzudrücken.

Das Problem mit einer Blindbestellung besteht darin, dass ich trotz anfänglichem Enthusiasmus potentieller Interessenten möglicherweise auf den Plakaten sitzenbleibe. In meiner Bekanntschaft gab es mal einen kleinen Kunstverlag und Du glaubst gar nicht, wie oft dergleichen passiert.
In einem Modellbauforum, in dem ich auch Mitglied bin, werden z.B. Sammelbestellungen für Pläne nur schriftlich und damit für beide Seiten rechtlich bindend gehandhabt.

Ist mir durchaus alles bekannt ... ich kann es aber auch anders ausdrücken: initiere doch einfach eine Sammelbestellung, anstatt (mein Eindruck) abzuwarten, ob jemand anders sich die Mühe macht.

Da hast Du mich natürlich sauber an meinem sozialen Ehrgeiz erwischt...

Ja, gut: Dann frage ich doch einfach mal nach, wer ernsthaft Interesse an Postern hätte, welche Größe und welche Anzahl.
Ich werde heute Abend mal mit Sinner, mit Bill Bates und den Modellbaukollegen Tuchfühlung aufnehmen, wie die das handhaben: Habe selber keine Erfahrung mit Pay Pal und nur wenig mit Auslandszahlungsverkehr, vor allem transatlantisch und ob es für Druckerzeugnisse Zoll zu zahlen gibt etc.
Werde mich mal kundig machen. Wer solche Erfahrungen hat: Bin für Hinweise dankbar.
Ich fange also unten die Liste an: Bitte in den eigenen Bestellbeitrag kopieren und erweitern, bitte zugleich eine Mail über die Forumsmail an mich. Nicht per PN.

Hallo,
habe hier bei mir in Herzogenrath (bei Aachen) einen Plotter rumstehen und könnte einen entsprechenden Druck übernehmen. Der Druck würde wahrscheinlich nicht spürbar günstiger (Vollflächig schwarz ist leider so ziemlich das teuerste was man machen kann

), aber der innerdeutsche Versand ist wesentlich günstiger und unsere niederländischen Nachbarn kann ich auch inländisch versorgen. Bis zur Grenze ists hier nicht weit.
Bei Interesse bitte melden. Einen Probeplott zur Qualitätsprüfung nehme ich auch gerne auf meine Kappe, quasi als Sponsoring

Mögliche Formate: alle bis ca 1,00m Breite, Länge ist fast (bei 40m ist Schluss) egal.

Warum nicht ? Vielleicht könnte jemand das Muster mit nach Groningen bringen - oder Du schickst es direkt zu Sinner. Schick mir doch Deine Mail-Adresse per PM, dann sende ich Dir die Druckvorlage.

Wie gesagt: Die Sammelbestellung kann ich machen.
Wenn wir natürlich eine Lösung der kurzen Wege fänden und statt der Transportgebühren ein bisschen mehr zu Gunsten der Organisation des ROAM zahlen (plus kürzere Lieferzeiten!), wäre das auch nicht schlecht.- Samt Möglichkeit des Nachdrucks. Das Poster ist einfach schön!

Thank you for translating my forum post. For some reason the two posters sizes do vary in color. I did not notice it until they were side by side. I am in contact with the printing company to find out why there is a color variation. It is the same file. I only edited the file aspect ratio so that it would print correctly.

I used Google translator to read the replies above. Last I heard from Josef, there was no one who offered to have the posters printed in Europe. Shipping the posters from Portland, Oregon to Europe is not the best choice. Printing them in Europe I feel would be so much better. As suggested from a reply above, bulk shipping from the USA to Europe is a good way to save quite a bit of money. One other possibility that has not been mentioned is that one or more of the European ROAM riders might be willing to bring back the posters on their return flight.

I'm glad to see the discussions and possible solutions. I truly wish I could take a bigger part in this forum and the various conversations with everyone.

You are right, Bill. Bringing back the posters at the return flight is still an option. But I thought the people would like to have the posters before the tour. For example sticking it to the office wall with a note like "I will be back in September.". Anyway, if there are some of your posters left after the tour then we will buy it and take it home.

It would be great to have a poster on the office wall while one was on tour. If need be, I'm more than willing to place an order for posters at anytime required. My original plan was to place two orders so as to save on multiple shipping charges. If the European riders want posters at an earlier date than scheduled, I am more than happy to assist. If anyone wants to collect signatures from other ROAM riders on their posters, it would be ideal to have a poster here. It the purchased poster was taken along the tour in one of the support vehicles, the $10 USD shipping charge could be avoided if the rider(s) mailed the posters themselves or carried the personally on the return flight. I have plans to provide poster tubes for mailing or transporting the sold posters.

wegen des Rattenfänger-Liegeradtreffens nur eine kurze Zwischeninfo:

die Poster sind einfach geil geworden !

Es sind im Grunde nur große Fotos, aber mit einer unglaublichen Farbbrillianz. Meiner Meinung nach brauchen wir keine bessere Qualität, wenn es denn besser überhaupt geht. Einziger Nachteil: die Poster sind im Format 1,5:1, das Original aber im Format 1,8:1. Ich habe die Original-Datei auf 1,5:1 vergrößert und eine dünne graue Linie als "Schnittkante" eingefügt. Alternativ wäre auch ein weißer Rand oben und unten möglich, sieht auch nicht schlecht aus.

Folgende Preise habe ich bezahlt:
20x30: 0,49€
30x45: 1,29€
40x60: 5,99€
50x75: 6,99€

Lieferzeit für die Poster: am 25.05. mittags bestellt, am 27.05. mittags abgeholt. Wenn ich bis morgen abend (Sonntag, 29.05.2011), sagen wir mal 20.00 Uhr Vorbestellungen bekomme, kann ich die Poster für die ROAMies vermutlich nach Groningen mitbringen. Nachbestellungen wären kein Problem, die "Einmalkosten" sind lächerlich, da ist das Porto schon deutlich höher

Den "Endverbraucher-Verkaufspreis" möchte ich erst noch mit Jupp festlegen, vielleicht brauchen wir noch ein paar Cent für die Reisekasse...
Selbstbestellung wäre auch möglich, evtl. gegen eine kleine Nutzungs-Gebühr ?

Dann dürfte sich meine Arbeit zumindest zum Teil erübrigt haben, oder? Auch nicht schlecht...

Und zugleich: DANKE an Madeba!

Noch eine Frage: Gäbe es auch eine Möglichkeit, die ganz großen Poster von 60,96cm x 91,44cm auf dieser Seite des großen Teichs zu drucken?

Ich finde, dass wir die Poster wie Wohlfahrtsmarken betrachten sollten, d.h. auch als Unterstützung für dieses tolle Unternehmen namens ROAM. Also ein kleiner Aufschlag von noch festzulegender Höhe (je nach Größe € 3,00 bis 5,00? )sollte dabei sein. Vielleicht kann man so einen kleinen diagonalen Textstreifen rechts unten einsetzen. "I sponsored ROAM" oder so etwas. Dazu noch Aufkleber ähnlicher Art auf das eigene VM, was haltet Ihr davon?

Mein Angebot ist dann wohl nur für die größeren Formate interessant. 61 x 92 ist kein Problem, 92 x 122 wäre auch möglich. Wie gesagt bei Interesse bitte die Vorlage zuschicken.
Die Idee mit den Wohlfahrtsmarken finde ich gut. Wenn der Urheber des Plakats nichts dagegen hat könnte ich einen entsprechenden Hinweis einfügen.
