Peter's Snoek - n°43

Couple of comments here: the creases have little importance, the important thing is that the part above the knifeless tape is crease-free. I always take 5-10 centimetres extra slack on both sides in case something goes wrong.

The 2 bumps on the nose is from hanging the Snoek upside down on my garage door, trying to replace the tyres faster. That was a stupid idea, but I've had several like that. They are both sanded smooth with putty and as soft as a baby's skin. It has zero impact on the Snoek's performance.

Handlebar tape: I would use normal handlebar tape and roll it the way it fits my hands best. If you roll it more narrowly, you will get a bulge on the bar, if you roll it so it just overlaps, it'll be very thin. That way you can shape the handle bar slightly for better grip and vibration damping.
There are handlebar tapes that have silicon on the reverse. So they can get taken off without a mess and get reused. Just fix the end with tape.

Do you have a link? Because I end up always buying the wrong stuff. My last tape was way too thick.

Great job!
I tried it once myself - but without the long YT research before besides some rather fundamental techniques , and what looks so easy or "not totally perfect" in the end is the result of hours of fighting with that $§"&%$&/ sticky film, &&%%$ burned fingertips, &%(/$ wrinkles and $§%&%$ creases everywhere and so on.
The surface of the Snoek is rather difficult to wrap, so I think the result is really great for the first try and not beeing a professional car wrapper.
Chapeau!

I checked the handlebars, it looks like some foam stuff but I don't see a seam.
Maybe something like this

XLC Grips 'Foam' GR-F01

but then cut to length?

As long as you use smaller parts of foil and are fine with the result of having many overlays, it's a lot easier than wrapping an entire surface (which is hardly impossible when you're doing it all by yourself). In terms of extra added weight I have no clue, but in comparison with a paint job the foil is much more interesting (and probably a lot lighter too). Wrap foil can also serve as a protective layer. I can remove it quickly and choose a different colour whenever I want.

I am not done yet, need to re-order knifeless tape. 50 meters of tape have been used already, lol. Just had to see it with the roof on. A cousin and my best friend prefer the black grey combo.

Congrats on reaching the end. That took a lot of time!
How do you now open up the front blinker lights?
