MetaBikes Mystique

(As it's great news I felt free to write in English. I read the Velomobilforum with google translate)

Built by Performer, with Jonathan Garcia's design (the same from Cruzbike S40 and RANS Phoenix). Titanium frame can be ordered, but aluminum frames will also be offered. Understood they will be selling here (still only has the "old" Meta and the "new" Daemon, but not the Mystique).

I guess there is more information here but it's a private facebook group and I don't even have an account (why do they announce something like that? no site, blog post, nothing)

Fine material, but otherwise really ugly, especially the rear part by abruptly changing to smaller tubes.

what is this good for? Taken from a standard bicycle frame?2021-05-05 08_46_53-Window.png and why is this part open? Salt water (in winter) or rain water could get in and damage the welt joint by corrosion. I would have prefered the double chain roller system (Bacchetta or Challenge use it in their speed recumbents). Nevertheless I like the looks.

I like the anodized brake-levers and a few other details - but why titanium on such a frame? I know it is a great material for frames (if used correctly) but that huge tubing with the empty bearing-shell ... idk. Certainly wouldn't pay two grand for it - but they will likely charge even more, especially in Ti. I know, bending Ti is a tricky job and I like the honesty refusing such a job by any manufacturer. But a blind BB-shell? If anyone hops on the recycling-train and repurposes old frames this may add charme but on a fresh product?
I guess Ti is just the wrong material for the frame. Aluminum and cromoly would be good options as they are more bendable and I just think it's an ok design for aluminum and somewhere in the process I suspect someone suggested to make a titanium-version as well. But no one refused that idea because of money.
