AW: Kaufberatung Zelt

Actually I haven't searched forum maybe someone already posted it here or if it is suitable for this thread.

Have you heard about Haven hammock tent?
It is Us company but they have warehouse in Slovakia so no import tax, tent is cca 270€ vat 60€, 312€ all together(with discount). Discount code: TRYHAVEN20 for 20€ off.
Weight 3,5kg with insulated pad.

When I saw their hammock tent I said wooow thats what I'm looking for!
Why? Because it is suspended in air and can't rip sleeping air pad on sharp floor.

If you think it is fragile, it can whitstand cca 400 kg load on itself and even after that tent structure didn't break but suspension line did.

A lot of reviews on youtube..check it out.
I ordered one for myself.

Personally, I'd say it is mostly a gimicky solution looking for its problem. Unless you travel swampy forests or really harsh grounds like shredded glass or something (with an abundance of sturdy flora to carry your suspended tent, of course). This is not to say that there aren't places like this and people who camp there ... it just seems like a rather special use case.

Apart from that, it looks like a pretty heavy and tiny 1p tent.

Hello Beinarbeit,

I was thrilled when I saw that tent, but I can understand that it looks like a gimmick.
But it is serious product, I don't have any interest in praising them.
I spent a month searching all I can find about the product and people said it was very comfortable for sleeping.
It is certified up to 130kg. Someone can doubt that it would rip apart when someone heavier uses it but it was tested, try to find video where they load tent with 400kg and it is fine, it breaks eventualy but not tent body but connecting line. Don't know how to upload yet.
Yes it is heavy, 3,5kg but I don't care.
I would say that sharp objects or cigarette or close to open fire are danger to any tent.
It can also be used as regular tent.
I will give feedback when I get it.
There are other companies like Crua hybrid ( Ireland,400€), Tentsile Aerial(Can or Us), Draumr (Norwegian, but it is more hammock than tent).

If the floor-protection argument means much to you, it's as good a reason as any. Even if you got the tent just for the novelty of it (well, compared to sleeping on the campground floor like the plebs :D ) ... Splurging a little on hobbies and getting a new toy every so often is fine, really.

Also, I will say that I like how it doesn't rely on almost horizontal suspension lines (which require insanely high pretension) for the tent floor to be even remotely flat (like the more conventional tree tents with 3 lines). It can actually "hang" in the trees and still be usably. In theory, this would put significantly less stress on the trees it is mounted to - maybe not solving a practical issue, but I still like it.

So here it is, on local lake.
Thick rope is not holding the tent but gravel extraction barge:)

Setting up is easy, in 10 min it is ready.
In 3 min tent is hanging, 7 mins to inflate air pad by mouth blowing.
It is made of quality materials.
Rain fly or protection cover is not in the picture.
I live in area with a lot of forests, but some parts of Adriatic coast are without trees so when going on a trip it is advisable to plan ahead where to sleep.
Or if you live in treeless area maybe it is not best choice.
I like it.

I inflated air pad with my mouth just now to se how long it will really take me: 1min.
