Katanga VM45/Velion

Würde das Fahrzeug gerne mal auf der Spezi Probe fahren. Das sieht schon sehr spannend aus.
 
All the L6e on the market are cheaper except the Microlino, even Ligier! And they are all 2 seaters.

The difference is kWh/km, none have a battery weighing 11 kg and good aerodynamics. Renault could have improved the aerodynamics of the Mobilize but it would still weigh > 400kg vs 80-90 kg for the Velion. In the video a top speed of 70-80 km/h (downhill) is mentioned, no L6e on the market can do that.

Because it is an L6e it can have a throttle and a mode where you don't have to pedal, I don't think that is the case @Wikinger? At least it wasn't with the prototype I sat in at the Spezi.

You can have a Ligier in front of your home for 89€/month and a Topolino for 19.75€/month on a 36 month lease. That is where the large(r)* companies win hands down on cost of use. I can't see Katanga ever being able to compete on that level. When you get to a certain age owning a car isn't as important unless your name is Joe Normal... ;)

*Ligier isn't a very big company https://www.ligier.fr/adn-ligier/chiffres-cles/ at least the microcar section isn't. They make most of their money selling last km delivery vehicles to the post offices of Europe.
 
@anotherkiwi What was the companies official address? I am often passing through Czech Republic...So it would be no problem for me to pass by...

I can remember that I sat in the Velion at Spezi but I can also remember that something annoyed me very much...I guess it was the feeling of sitting much too close to the front screen. But maybe it was something else. Anyway I would really like to do a testdrive with the 45 km/h version.
 
Das hört sich alles sehr gut an! Und mit dem neuen Motor bin ich gespannt, was am Ende heraus kommt. Solche Entwicklungen sind teuer, darum muss man akzeptierne, dass es länger dauert.

Und nebenbei bemerkt, im Video wurde der eigene Campingplatz erwähnt, der liegt und ist extem günstig. Das ist direkt an der Östereichischen Grenze.

I would prefer to say their prices are normal. A bicycle plot in France is 9-11€ and it cost me 22€ to camp in Germany for exactly the same services, a small plot of land and a shower... </OT>
 
Mega(y). Hier wurde ohne Haube gefahren. Ob das wohl in der zugelassenen Version erlaubt sein wird? Oder bekommen wir hier eine Helmpflicht wie bei der Leiba Hybrid?

In France an L6e requires a helmet if it is a 2 wheeler, it will be interesting to see what happens with the quad. I would automatically use my Casco to protect my bald skull from the sun and the Vautron visor is super practical.

§ 21a Abs. 2 StVO
Wer Krafträder oder offene drei- oder mehrrädrige Kraftfahrzeuge mit einer bauartbedingten Höchstgeschwindigkeit von über 20 km/h... Dies gilt nicht, wenn vorgeschriebene Sicherheitsgurte angelegt sind.
Die Leiba Hybrid ist als Kleinkraftrad (L2e) zugelassen und hat keinen Sicherheitsgurt. Beim Velion würde das Gurt-Argument zählen, wenn denn der Gurt "den Vorschriften" entspricht...
