@J.E.S I have contacted somebody who is not part of the timing team so this is not official. I was told somebody complained that you had changed to a different machine during the race. I understand the complaint was that this in not fair as other riders did not have this option.Jetzt gibt es wenigstens ein Zielfoto von mir. Das macht doch schon mal Hoffnung.

First of all - thank you very much for supporting and helping to clarify this case, @Ian Perry ... but there is no rule for changing during a race,
Without a clear rule against it - while allowing a second bike to the race w/out further definition of the proceedings - does not seem adequate to me to decide „on merit“.so it would be each case on merit and in your case it was not seen as OK, the final decision is by the Race Director, I have no idea who this was.
But they DID have the option? Nobody forbids them to bring a second machine. They just chose not to bring one?@J.E.S I have contacted somebody who is not part of the timing team so this is not official. I don't follow the logic. The normal line of thought is: if it is not against a rule, it's OK. It's not the other way round.there is no rule for changing during a race, so it would be each case on merit and in your case it was not seen as OK
I'm the same, I have no dog in this fight, I can't disagree with you, although your example of breathing is a bit extreme . What I have heard is just unofficial, maybe with some truth and some embellishment? If I do receive an official response rather than one from the Race Committee/Director straight to @J.E.S I will put it here.I was no participant and have no stake in any outcome. But this seems not to make much sense.

For instance there is no rule for breathing during a race. So you would conclude it's not OK?
